Having been playing on sessions for Ian Livingstone for some years, trumpeter Hugh Davies caved in to Ian’s persuasion and finally started offering the same virtual session service to anyone who needed it under the auspices of Realbrass in March 2011. Since then Realbrass has been employed to provide brass and horn sections on many tracks covering all kinds of media from internet advertising campaigns (eg British Airways) to major brand TV advertisements (eg Mars) via independent producers/DJ dance tracks and theatrical productions.
Realbrass can provide trumpet (inc flugelhorn & piccolo), trombone (inc bass trombone & tuba), french horn, and all typical reed doublings (clarinet, baritone/tenor/alto/sop saxes and flute). Hugh plays all the trumpet parts and other players are brought in to cover the other parts. Realbrass players are all London based West End, session and orchestral freelance players and between them have played on most major West End productions, countless films and most London based orchestras.
Realbrass recordings have been heard on BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, ITV, Channel4, Sky, Eden, Home, Alibi & Yesterday and all over the world from Ireland to South Korea & Australia.
